Messe Friedrichshafen is also easy to reach from Memmingen, Munich and Stuttgart airports.
Zurich Airport has excellent connections to Friedrichshafen by train or a combination of ferry and train or catamaran and train.

Tip:
If possible, switch from car to the passenger ferry in Switzerland and take advantage of the BSB combination ticket. Advantage: No traffic jams at the ferry, no parking search in Friedrichshafen, and no waiting at the ticket office (not available for all fairs).
